Adoption Story: Rosie & Lucy

Rosie and Lucy were very, very loved when they came to us in September. A heartbreaking loss and unforeseen circumstances left these two girls needing a place to land, and their family trusted us to take over their care. Rosie and Lucy became part of our PCH! family too. During National Adoption Week, a gentleman walked into PetSmart in search of his next companion. He said his home was feeling a bit too empty since his last pet passed away. Rosie won him over instantly, and at 7 years old, she even qualified for our Seniors for Seniors adoption discount!

When he found out she had a daughter, he just had to see her. Then he met Lucy, who jumped right up into his lap like she'd known him forever and gave him a big kiss. That was that! He knew they were meant to be his.

He came hoping to find a great match and went home with a mother-daughter duo who get to stay together forever, because one man chose rescue. Now Rosie and Lucy have a cozy bed to cuddle up in, a huge yard to enjoy together, and a new dad with a huge heart, too.
